I had a dream last night that jim proposed. it was a very pretty ring-- med.sized opal set on a plain silver band with another silver band with a little bedazzle on it wrapping aorund it.
He didn't say really anything. just presented the box with an "i've got something for you" and got on one knee.
It was a very pretty ring. a very pretty dream...
it was all a dream…

So i have an interview Monday at 1:30 — an hour and a half after I get out of work (assuming I get out of work on time). The position I’m applying for is for an inventory-ist for local companies (i.e. scanning inventory for JCPenny, KMart, etc.). It’s nothing fancy, and it’s certainly not a life-long career, but I’m really hoping it works out. I need a second job. This working 4-5 hour shifts at random hours of the day is driving me crazy. It’s really hard to plan or do anything outside of my part-time job when I’m always double-, triple-, and quadruple-checking my schedule.
Plus, i need the money. In January, I’ll be getting fewer hours as a result of customers being spent (financially and otherwise). fewer hours = less money = more difficulty paying bills. I’m proud of myself for being proactive in seeking a second job. it only makes sense to cover my ass.
I’m freaking out though. I feel like there’s a million things to do before christmas. I have to finish making the tie-scarf for ward, the duckie scarf for pixie (blehhh), gloves for dad, and the purse for jackie. At least my application for UB is fully in (i have to wait til Jan. until they start reviewing those applications) — my goal was to have everything in by today, and i got an email this morning saying all pieces were accounted for, even the letters of recommendations.
Ay ay ay…
adventures in retail
work 2-7. let’s see what new way of hiding the insane amounts of returned merchandise the managers will come up with today. After all, the corporate visit is tomorrow and this place needs to be spotless. We could just put 10 more people on for four hours to put everything away, but that would mean having to put fewer people on later in the month who don’t actually do anything… like linda, robert, clyde, etc… but we can’t have that…
